BARNEY LAKE: HIDDEN GEM IN CENTRAL UTAH

Nestled in the Monroe Mountains of central Utah, Barney Lake offers a tranquil getaway for nature lovers, anglers, and outdoor enthusiasts alike. Located in Piute County, Barney Lake is a popular destination for fishing, camping, and picnicking. Its one of many lakes & reservoirs along the Paiute Trail.

For directions to the lake, you can follow this pin. Barney Lake, like it’s neighboring lake to the east (Manning Meadows Reservoir) is a high mountain lake. Unlike it’s neighbor however, Barney Lake is lesser known and typically less busy than Manning Meadows Reservoir.

FISHING IN BARNEY LAKE

Barney Lake is a fantastic lake for anglers. The lake is said to be stocked with Bonneville Cutthroat Trout and Tiger Trout (which is actually in the salmon family).
